It is unfortunate that so many people join dating sites but so few put a fair effort into writing a really good profile that makes them stand out from thousands of other users.
I am not sure why people go through the trouble of signing up and filling all those questionnaires and then post a profile that looks like a copy of any other neutral, boring, profile full of cliches and types.
I've learned that money and opportunities come and go, but your friends and family are always there to help you when you need it.
I hope one day I can pass down those qualities to a family of my own, and it's why I work so hard today.
Good Generic Example #1 Let's face it, I don't live the life of a rock-star or famous athlete ...
but those guys are always getting caught cheating on their wives, so why would I want to live that life?
Here’s an example that really works:“I am a rocket scientist. And after mastering Italian, I became an international super spy. But I do like a good martini and I got a B in my 5th grade science class. Bumble mainly attracts women in the 25-35 age range who are intelligent and successful.
Right now, I’m yachting my way across the Caribbean, stealing top-secret information, and sipping martinis… Message me for more straight talk, and I’ll send you FB links, photos of science fair trophies, and much MUCH more…”Surfer. It’s been marketed as a “woman-friendly” alternative to Tinder, so you definitely want to keep your profile classy to be successful on this app.
“100% Italian, fun loving, affectionate young lady who knows what it takes to make a relationship work.(This first sentence says nothing eye-catching about the woman and is very bland, and boring). (still, nothing thought provoking or attractive) I am very spontaneous and I love the outdoors, watching movies, dancing, and traveling. (Finally something somewhat interesting that she says about herself).(Another cliché statement that is being used by thousands of other women) A great date can be staying at home with a movie and popcorn, or a night on the town. I made myself a promise a few years ago to take a vacation somewhere new, out of state, every year. Well, that is a little about me if you are interested say hello and we will chat. ” *********************** This profile gets a higher grade because it reflects on the writer’s character and her personality.Instead, let's change the phrasing above to, "When I'm not out with my friends on a Friday night, I love curling up under the covers and watching a scary movie (any suggestions? Many men and women unintentionally use language that displays a lack of confidence.)." In this revised statement, I have turned a cliché into a statement that has personality, flirts with the reader, provides bait and discusses the type of movies that I am specifically into. For example, writing that "I really to meet a man who is smart, fun and handsome," doesn't sound terrible, but the word "hope" implies that you are the one chasing and "hoping" things will turn out OK.
